Director / Shareholder Protection
Share Protection allows the remaining partners, shareholding directors or members to remain in control of the business following the death of a business owner. In the event of a business owner dying or being diagnosed with a terminal or specified critical illness (if critical illness is added – which is an extra cost), share protection can be paid to your family (effectively paying to your family the agreed value of your shares) so that the remaining shareholders can continue to run the business.
Death In Service Relevant Life Cover
This is a life term assurance plan available to employers to provide an individual death in service benefit for an employee of a Limited Company. It’s designed to pay a lump sum if the person covered dies or is diagnosed with a terminal illness, whilst employed during the term.
Key criteria must be met to have this type of policy, but if it is met then huge potential savings can be made here by this HMRC approved plan.
